Nick Faulconer graduated cum laude from Columbia University, earning his BA in Psychology in October 2025. He was awarded the honor of Senior Marshal at commencement for exceptional academic achievement and leadership, where he alongside the selected Marshals led the graduation procession. Nick was also inducted into the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology and the Columbia School of General Studies Honor Society.
Nick worked on research projects investigating psychophysiological synchrony and dyadic stress responses at the Columbia Couples Lab, researched grant initiatives and advocated for formerly incarcerated people to reduce incarceration and gang violence at the Center for Justice, supported patients with schizophrenia and other severe mental illnesses at the Lieber Recovery Clinic, taught music for children with neurodevelopmental disorders, and assisted in patient care as a medical scribe at CityMD.
Prior to his time at Columbia, Nick was a signed performing artist with East Coast Entertainment, an award winning songwriter, a music studio owner in Richmond, VA, and a student at Berklee College of Music. He has a background in Jazz, and plays three instruments including guitar, piano, and vocals.
Outside of his research, academics, and clinical work, you can find Nick running, biking, playing guitar, writing songs, and reading in a local cafe.
